Acceptable Use

Rate My Representative is a civic accountability platform. By using this service you agree to submit honest, good-faith reviews and ratings of elected representatives based on your genuine experience and opinion. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.

Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Submitting fake, coordinated, or incentivized reviews
• Harassing, threatening, or targeting other users
• Vote manipulation — creating multiple accounts to inflate or deflate ratings
• Posting personally identifiable information about private individuals
• Uploading spam, malware, or content that violates applicable law
• Impersonating any person, organization, or elected official

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you submit. By submitting a review, you grant Rate My Representative a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, aggregate, and analyze that content for platform purposes. We will not sell your individual reviews to third parties.

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we deem, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the platform or its users. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent banning.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Rate My Representative is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of representative information displayed on the platform, which is sourced from public datasets. Ratings reflect user opinion, not verified fact.

Changes to These Terms
